asalt is a great place for artists to come and work and grow. Many creative minds come to Basalt and have their works shown in the many galleries in town. With the Colorado Mountain College in Glenwood and Aspen offering art courses, many artists settle down in Basalt to enjoy the small town atmosphere for their work. The Wyly Art Center hosts many of the local artists and has many classes for aspiring artists.
