Since opening its doors July 1993, the Basalt Gallery has proudly represented the finest local and regional artists. The gallery provides quality exhibition space in the quaint, historic town of Basalt, twenty minutes from Aspen, CO. The gallery features artists from the Roaring Fork Valley, but also represents painters from throughout Colorado, New Mexico and Utah. Working with local artists enables gallery owners, Jody Ensign, Susan Manchee, and Nina Pedersen, to personally match artists' styles and palettes with the individual tastes of clients. Studio visits are happily arranged. This allows art buyers to meet an artist in his or her millieu, and to view an entire body of work before making a selection.
