Roaring Fork Valley

Almost everyone has heard of Aspen and Snowmass and many people know Glenwood Springs. A growing number of people are becoming acquainted with Basalt and Carbondale, especially in light of the recent articles in Men’s Health magazine listing Basalt as one of the most desirable places to live in the country and National Geographic Adventure Magazine listing Carbondale as one of the best adventure towns in the country. What many visitors don’t realize, though, is that all these towns comprise an area known as the Roaring Fork Valley, an area defined by four major rivers and several mountain ranges that surround the Valley giving a unique sense of privacy while offering endless opportunities for recreation and adventure. The Roaring Fork Valley has been a vacation destination for many around the country over the last few decades and is now becoming home to many of those who used to vacation here and have decided this may be the best place to live in the world. Those of us who call the Valley home have come to understand the true joy of living and working in place that offers an abundance of recreational, cultural and educational opportunities during every season.
